In a novel protest, the Telangana unit of Aam Aadmi Party on Monday staged a “Public Assembly” at Gun Park to highlight the failures of TRS Government, including non-conduct of Legislative Assembly session in a proper manner.
Speaking to media persons later, AAP Spokesperson Prof. P.L. Vishweshwar Rao and GHMC Coordinator M.K. Muqtadar said that the State Government has been making false promises in view of Warangal by-elections. He said instead of resolving the drinking water crisis, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was trying to divert attention by launching 2BHK houses. Similarly, nothing has been done to prevent suicide by farmers. As against nearly two lakh vacancies, only 1.07 lakh jobs have been identified. However, the government was not filling up the identified vacant posts. (INN)
