A Shamefull incident, a woman was allegedly raped by a drunk man in broad daylight on a footpath along a busy road in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam.
The entire incident was caught on camera, but it seems that passersby chose to ignore it completely, in the video that has gone viral, 20-year-old Ganji Siva can be seen forcing himself on the woman, who was sitting on a pavement near the railway station.
Video recorded by an auto-driver who present at the spot. The victim, who came out from her house following a dispute with her family members, Noticing her sleeping, the accused, Ganji Shiva, forced himself onto her as passersby were watching without doing anything to stop him. As she was weak and in a near-unconscious state after being deprived of food for days, she didn’t have the strength to resist the rapist
The police later arrested the suspect after the police control room received a call regarding the incident. G Shiva has been booked under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code that deals with rape
