Reformers Front of India (RFI) president Mohammed Ilyas Shamsi has said they were conducting a voter awareness campaign on social media covering face book and hundreds of Whatsapp groups to ensure compulsory cent percent voting in the February 2 GHMC elections.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Mohammed Ilyaas Shamsi pointed out that every political party launched electioneering in full swing with deafening slogans without any agenda. At the same time, the general public is also not aware of the importance of selection of their corporators. He demanded that the TRS government solve civic problems like removal of high frequency illegal mobile towers, cleansing of Husainsager, development of Mir Alam Tank, eradication of mosquito menace, vehicular traffic congestion in the twin cities, extension of Metro Rail to old city curbing of rowdy elements and land grabbers.
The RFI president said his team was working with social responsibility and plunged into the voter awareness campaigning to ensure 100% polling in the GHMC elections. He also said their slides can be seen and downloaded from FB page: https://www.facebook.com/ilyasshamsi. (NSS)
