Mumbai, January 29: She’s currently enjoying all the accolades coming her way post No One Killed Jessica. Vidya Balan perks up some more at the mere mention of Nagpur International Marathon, and TOI captures her thoughts as the lady gets into a chirpy mood…
Down memory lane…
Since she had made her presence felt in the last year’s marathon, Vidya happily reminisces those ‘sporty moments’. “Arshad Warsi and I witnessed the frenzy that Nagpur Marathon had generated last year, and I still get goosebumps thinking about the sea of humanity that had converged to make a statement for nonviolence, peace and togetherness. There were thousands of people all around us, and so many people came up to me and Arshad for autographs. I really wish I was participating in Nagpur Marathon 2011 as well! But, my work commitments stop me from doing this!”
Run Nagpur Run!
If her hectic work schedule doesn’t allow her to run with the Nagpurians, her heart still beats for the city, which has given her “so much love and affection!” The joie de vivre in her voice comes through as she adds: “My good wishes are with all the Nagpurians, who are planning to run for a great cause! Marathons are all about bringing people together and creating a sense of belonging. They also create a sense of bonding, and spread the message of health, fitness and well-being. So, make the most of it, Nagpurians!”
