Raees Mohammad Makrani, a 44-year-old resident of Madhya Pradesh, who studied only up to class 12, has invented a car that runs on water. Yes, you heard it right.
The Indian car mechanic has a solution to Indian alarming pollution.
The car runs on acetylene gas, which is formed from a chemical reaction between calcium carbide and water.
Raees says, “the car runs by gas which is used for several industrial purposes including welding and portable lighting for miners. But in my case, I am using it to propel the car engines.”
Makrani has been invited by Chinese automobile companies to develop the idea further.
