Minority Welfare officers lack coordination

Telangana government has introduced new schemes for educational and economic development of minorities, but sadly the same can’t be implemented due to staff crunch in Minority Welfare Department.

After the transfer of Director Minority Welfare Jalaluddin Akber the department is dependent on 4 officers of which 3 are working on additional responsibilities.

On one hand government is interested in effective implementation of schemes while on the other hand instead of making more appointments, it transferred Director Minority Welfare under the pressure of a particular lobby.

Thus only 4 officers remained in the department who are shouldering the responsibility of many institutions at the same time. Interestingly the four officers lack coordination among themselves which has slowed down the performance of Minority Welfare Department.
