Ayodhya, April 16: Nirmohi Akhara, the main litigant in the Ayodhya title suits, today alleged VHP of trying to overpower the site of Ram Janma Bhoomi.
The Akhara rejected VHP’s any claim over Ram Janma Bhoomi.
Nirmohi Akhara, the oldest litigant from the Hindu side of the Ram Janam Bhumi-Babri Masjid case, now subjudice before the Supreme Court, has alleged Vishwa Hindu Parishad of trying to overpower the site of Ram Janma Bhoomi.
Breaking its long association with VHP since 1989, Akhara officials alleged that VHP is conspiring to forcefully take possession of the Ram Janma Bhoomi by using fraud means and to snatch it from the hands of Nirmohi Akhara, which is original claimant of the suit since 1959.
Talking to PTI, Mahant Jagannath Das chief priest of Akhara, said, “Nirmohi Akhara is perusing the case in the different courts since 1959 and Nirmohi Akhara is struggling for Ram Janam Bhumi since then when VHP was not even born. Nirmohi Akhara is a caretaker of Ram Janam Bhumi since ‘Treta Yug’, and at present Akhara has spent lots of wealth in the legal battle of Ram Janma Bhoomi and now the economic condition of Akhara is not strong,” he said.
The Akhara is all ready to start the construction of Ram Janma Bhoomi after Supreme Court’s final verdict but neither we have demanded nor we want any cooperation from VHP in the construction of the temple.
The VHP only wants to politicise the issue and divide Hindu saints to establish its own monopoly, be in politics and or in religious circles, but we want to build the temple.
