Ballia, February 04: Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad will investigate the hacking of Ballia-Etawah Gramin Bank’s website allegedly by a Pakistani organisation, a senior police official said today.
The investigation has been handed over to Varansi unit of the ATS as this was a cyber crime case and there is a suspicion of involvement of Pakistan-based hackers, district SP Ram Swaroop said here.
A message was posted on the bank’s website by a self- proclaimed Pakistani organisation yesterday.
“Your bank site has been hacked. This is just a trailor. I will show you full movie,”the message on the website of Ballia-Etawah Gramin Bank said, according to the police.
The message further read,”We luv to break tightest security. That is why we are called hackers. Indians my next target your bank sites. Save these if you can. Gud Luck– by Pakistan cyber barrier.”
An unidentified caller had informed Chief General Manager of the Gramin bank, Anil Prakash, about the message on its website.
