Washington, December 08: United States officials have been engaged in a series of contradictory statements about whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden as CIA chief Leon Panetta has claimed the al Qaeda chief’s presence in Pakistan, which vehemently rejected by Pakistani officials.
Panetta after a Congress hearing claimed Osama was still present in Pakistan and hoped al Qaeda supremo will be traced with the help of Pakistani security forces.
The news came as US Defence Secretary Robert Gates confessed they had received no decent intelligence on Bin Laden’s location for “years”.
US Defence Secretary Robert Gates said: “We don’t know for a fact where he is. If we did, we’d go get him.”
