Urdu poets to come together for annual mushaira

New Delhi, April 05: For lovers of Urdu poetry in the capital, Friday night promises be a memorable one.

United by their love for the essentially Indian language, poets from as far as the American continent and Africa, will assemble here this week to be part of one of the capital’s most awaited annual mushairas.

Over 15 distinguished poets from as many as six countries will rub shoulders with their Indian counterparts at the 12th edition of the Jashn-e-Bahar mushaira this Friday.

Among those who compose in the language of the Indian subcontinent and will be part of the mushaira are a young American student from Texas, and Arab participants from Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
