Dehra Dun, March 11: Not satisfied with an answer given by agriculture minister, main opposition Congress today created pandemonium in the Assembly thus forcing Speaker Harbans Kapoor to adjourn the House repeatedly.
Raising the issue during the zero-hour, Pritam Singh of Congress wanted to know whether the state government has conducted any scientific study to ascertain that organic produce are better than the inorganic ones.
In reply, Agriculture Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said since chemical fertilisers and pesticides are not used in organic farming, so organic agriculture produce are considered good for health.
Dissatisfied with the reply, Congress members asked the Speaker to suspend the question.
The Congress members then trooped into the well ignoring pleas of the Speaker to take their seats, forcing him to adjourn the House repeatedly.
