Unity of secular parties’ essential, country is facing critical situation – Yechuri

Hyderabad: India is passing through a critical situation these days. The Muslims have an apprehension of being unsafe in Modi Govt. CPI (M) will raise its voice against communalism by uniting all the secular parties. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Sitaram Yechuri, General Secretary of CPI (M) at a meeting held at the residence of Mr. Syed Vicaruddin, Editor of Rahnuman-e-Deccan and Chairman of Indo-Arab League. Present on this occasion were Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Mr. K.Narayana (CPI), Mr. Veerabhadram (CPM), Dr. Meer Akbar Ali Khan, Vice Chairman of Indo-Arab League, Mr. Shaik Abu Bakar, Secretary Indo-Arab League, Mr. Mushtaq Malik, Mr. Osman Al Hajri and others.

Mr. Yechury observed that some secular parties are strengthening the communal forces by dissociating themselves with the major coalition. A party confined to a regional area is now extending its area of operation which would result in the division of Muslim votes. It will indirectly benefit BJP. This has become the known fact in the country that at the instance of BJP, a political party is participating in Bihar elections.

Mr. Yechuri further mentioned the role of Central Govt. on Dadri issue is very shameful. The statement made by Central Minister, Mr. Mahesh Sharma does not suit his position. He also mentioned that those who were involved in Muzaffar Nagar communal riots are moving freely in Dadri. He further mentioned that CPI (M) is making an attempt to united all the secular parties to against the communal elements.
