India’s most-wanted man and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim will turn 60 on this Saturday.
Amid the birthday celebration, the underworld is likely to name his successor in a grand party organised by Chhota Shakeel who is don’s right hand man and the most trusted follower since last 40 years.
According to reports, Dawood now has three brothers living with him, Anees, Humayun and Mustaqeem. Anees is likely to succeed Dawood, who, along with Shakeel, runs the gang’s day-to-day operations.
Dawood has decided that his failing health will not allow him to stay at the helm of D-company’s $10-billion multinational empire of drugs, betting, hawala, and arms smuggling.
Dawood is known to consult his two grown-up children Mahrukh and Moin, who are believed to have convinced Dawood to cut his workload. Dawood’s wife Mehjabeen too has been putting pressure on him to get retire.
Sources claim that Anees Ahmed, may be the front-runner or Chhota Shakeel who often referred to as the gang CEO will mostly likely retain his position.
However, the gangster is likely to remain active in the gang for at least couple of years more and help in the transition.
There has been no official word on the same from D-Company. But Mirror reports say that no one knows the venue of Dawood’s birthday celebration. Those who have been invited have been told that they will be picked up just minutes before.
The Mumbai Police and central agencies are keeping a watch on those invited to Saturday’s bash in Karachi.
