London: Leader of Opposition and Labour Party Jeremy Bernard Corbyn joins London Muslims for Iftar at Al Manaar Mosque. The British politician has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Islington North since 1983 and Leader of the Opposition since 2015.
Corbyn posted the iftar video with a message, which says “It was a pleasure to be at Al Manaar Mosque for yesterday’s Iftar, the moment at the end of a day of fasting when people come together to share a meal.”
He further added that “Al Manaar Mosque is just a mile from Grenfell Tower and its members were among the first people to respond to the tragic fire.”
He was lauded for his efforts especially when the Muslim community facing backlash after alleged attacks.
