UAE job visa: New regulations applicable from Feb 4 – Here’re the details

Dubai: UAE Government revised job visa requirements. It will come into effect from 4th February 2018.

According to the Khaleej Times report, job seekers need to obtain a certificate of good conduct. This certificate should be issued by the job seeker’s country. This rule is applicable to the employee, not his or her dependents.

However, if the person resided in other nations during the last 5 years, then the certificate of good conduct should be obtained from each country.

It may be mentioned that this decision was announced by a committee in charge of implementing the Cabinet resolution. The certificate should be ratified by the state’s mission and UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

It may be noted that this certificate of good conduct is not required for tourists, students, persons on medical or mission visas etc., Gulf News reported. Certificate of good conduct is also not mandatory if a resident is changing his/her job within UAE.
