Hyderabad: Commissioner’s Task Force personnel on July 24 raided “Aarim Enterprises” at Tappachabutra and arrested two persons for running lottery schemes business without any licence with an intention to grab money from gullible people. The police also seized cash of Rs 1,91,000, two registers containing members and Card holders lists, 13 receipts books, 35 Membership cards, 2,000 coins and two cell phones from their possession.
According to Task Force DCP, principal accused Mohd Abed conceived a plan to run the illegal business in the name of “Aarim Enterprises” and his accomplice Mohd Shaker also started the clandestine business in the name of “New your needs enterprises” at Tappachabutra with an intention to grab money from common people. The accused (Aarim Enterprises organized two schemes individually of 16 months with monthly installment of Rs.1000 for a total 3,000 members and they draw lucky prize on every month of 5th and 18th respectively with first prize Royal Enfield Bike, second prize three tolas of gold, third prize Passion Pro bike, fourth prize Honda Activa 4G bike and fifth prize Samsung J7Nxt cell phone. Later, the accused failed to conduct draws of prizes and cheated the people.
On the receipt of several complaints from the victims, the police registered cases against the accused and arrested them. The accused along with seized property were handed over to the SHO, Tappachabutra PS. (NSS)
