The twin exhibitions — the 8th edition of Kids Fair and 3rd edition of India Garden Fair — kicked off at Hitex here today. Filmstar Jeevitha Rajshkhar inaugurated the same, went around the two exhibitions and made some shopping. Organized by Hitex, the expo will continue till December 25.
Interacting with the media after inaugurating the twin exhibitions, Jeevitha, mother of two daughters told parents to “allow kids to enjoy their childhood.” Education is not everything. No parents are worried about their kids; likes and dislikes. All they want is marks, grades and ranks. Childhood has become very stressful. They should be given a free hand to enjoy childhood”, she said.
A wide variety of little gardens exhibited by Rudd Buddy stole the show and attracted a lot of visitors at Indian Garden Fair. Waste bins made out of coconut fiber and wall hangings made with similar stuff too were well appreciated by the visitors to the expo. Some 100 exhibitors exhibited stalls in kids fair and 40 in India Garden Fair.
The highlights of the twin expos are Kids Carnival, Kids Run on24th December, Science Exhibition, Robotics, Adventure Games, Comic Characters, Singha Toon, Christmas Tree, Christmas Village, Children Film Screening, Live Gardens, Miniature Gardens, Wall Gardens, Organic Terrace Gardens, etc. and others. We are also conducting chess, quiz and painting competitions, informed Praveen of Hitex. Some 1200 kids are registered for the Kids Run to be held on the Hitex premises on December 24 at 4 pm.
