Days after tow Muslim youths was found hanging from a tree in the Latehar’s district, yet another body of Muslim youth found in Palamu district of Jharkhand on Sunday.
The deceased identified as Iquabal aka Ladan, 25. Ladan was the son of Nisha Khatun, a Panchayat Samiti member from Shahpur North area.
“The body was recovered from the Koel river bed under the Town police station area of Daltonganj”, HT reports.
According to the police, Ladan’s throat was slit with a sharp edged weapon. His body was sent for autopsy to the Palamu district hospital.
Palamu superintendent, Mayur Patel said investigations indicated that Ladan was killed by the father and brother of a girl with whom he was in an affair.
Ladan allegedly went to the girl’s house on Saturday night, and was seen misbehaving with her family. The girl’s mother has been arrested in the matter.
Ladan’s family members had informed the police that he left home on Saturday night on receiving a phone call during the India-Pakistan T-20 match. He was found dead the next morning.
