Noida: A nine-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped and murdered for a ransom of Rs 3 lakh by three persons, of whom two have been arrested, police said today.
The accused, Tejpal and Neeraj, were arrested today while the third is at large. The victim’s body was found stuffed in a sack, DSP Arvind Yadav said.
On March 9, the boy’s mother Rajvani, a resident of Behlolpur, had lodged a complaint at the Noida Phase 3 Police Station, stating that her child, Shlok, had been kidnapped, he said.
They have confessed to kidnapping and murdering the boy, and said that they had killed him to hide their identities, Yadav said, adding the accused were the victim’s neighbour.
They continued demanding the ransom from the parents after killing the boy and were caught through electronic surveillance, the officer said.
