Missing minor girl from Jaipur rescued in Delhi

New Delhi: A missing minor girl from Jaipur has been rescued from a house in Mahipalpur here and the 22-year-old accused who kept her hostage has been arrested, said police.

“The suspect Imraan lured her on Facebook and Whatsapp and made her come to the national capital promising a good future by marrying her,” G Ram Gopal Naik, deputy commissioner of police (crime) said.

Based on a complaint registered in Jaipur, a team of Rajasthan police sought help from Delhi Police on the issue on March 16, said the officer.

After receiving information from various sources, an intensive search operation was conducted in Gari, Mahipalpur and Vasant Kunj areas and the accused from UP landed in the police net within two to three hours, Naik said.

“The victim, a minor girl, was rescued from the spot.

Though Imraan tried to flee from the spot, he could not succeed,” he said.

The victim arrived in Delhi from Jaipur on March 14 aspiring for a better future through communication she had on Facebook and Whatsapp with Imraan, Naik said.

During enquiry, it was revealed that, the victim was forced to stay in a rented house at Mahipalpur.

“When the victim came to know the real nature of Imraan, she resisted and refused to live with him. But she was beaten up and her mobile phone was snatched by Imraan,” said Naik.
