Hyderabad, October 23: ( Siasat News) Altercations have begun between pro Telangana and Seema-Andhra congressmen over Andhra Pradesh formation day.
While Telangana leaders stress on observing November 1 as ‘betrayal day’ Seema Andhra leaders condemn it and say respecting the Andhra Pradesh formation day the residents of the state should celebrate the occasion.
The Telangana and Seema-Andhra leaders of Congress are at odds following the announcement of December 9.
Claiming usurpation of Telangana people in united Andhra, Congress Action Committee for Telangana spokesman Mr. Kamlakar Rao announced protest demonstrations instead of celebration on November 1 and appealed Telangana ministers to boycott government programmes and attend protest programmes observing ‘betrayal day on AP formation day.
On the other hand representative of Seema-Andhra and ardent supporter of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mr. Srikant Reddy expressed his surprise over Telangana leaders’ statement of observing ‘betrayal day’ and declared their appeal to boycott government programmes as an undemocratic demand.
