TSRTC SC, ST Employees not supporting any union in elections

TSRTC SC, ST Employees Welfare Association here on Sunday announced that its members would not support any union in the elections scheduled to be held on July 19.

 

Speaking to mediapersons, Association general secretary B. Padma Rao, convener P Subhash, working presidents Danunjay Naik, Dubbaka Yadaiah, State leaders B D Rao, Chandulal and others have alleged that the rival TSRTC employees’ unions were only concentrating on their win in the ensuing elections and were not bothering to get the pay arrears paid to the employees. “Therefore, we have decided not to support any union in the elections”, they said and made it clear that the association was not affiliated to any union. They were only fighting for their legitimate rights as enshrined in the Constitution.

TSRTC SC, ST Employees Welfare Association also made it clear they are not against any union and were fighting for the goal of employees’ welfare. Pointing out that some 20,000 SC, ST employees were discharging their duties in the Corporation, the Association leaders said they would be relentlessly fighting for filling backlog posts and solution to their long-pending issues.
