Green Nest demands compensation from HMDA

CPI South Zone secretary Dr Sudhakar has demanded that the State government take immediate action against the HMDA officials for neglecting to allot a place for Green Nest, an NGO, for organizing a food festival after giving all permissions.

Speaking to mediapersons at Maqdoom Bhavan here on Sunday, the CPI leader, along with Green Nest representatives Pritvitej, Gunashekhar and Bhargav, said the Green Nest had made all arrangements for organizing a Food Festival on July 14 at People’s Plaza on the Neclace Road. But the HMDA officials have failed to allot space at People’s Plaza on that day causing a loss of Rs 16 lakh to the NGO.

Demanding that the HMDA pay adequate compensation to the Green Nest immediately to make good the loss, the Green Nest representatives Praveen, Sana, Srividya, Abhinay, Sivani, Prasanna and others said they would knock the doors of Lokayukta for justice. (NSS)
