TRS writes letter to PM on HC division

TRS MP B Vinod Kumar today urged the Centre to take a decision on the division of High Court in Hyderabad. Else, the TRS MPs will take up the issue in the Parliament session to mount pressure on the Centre,  he said.

In a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the MP said that high court bifurcation was delayed by three years after formation of new Telangana state. It is not good to make further delay on the division now. He expressed concern that the Centre is yet to keep the promises made to Telangana after bifurcation of the state into two Telugu States. Telangana is awaiting a decision from the Centre which is ought to take a call on the crucial issue as per Andhra Pradesh Bifurcation Act which remained inconclusive for three years, he said. The TRS leader also registered displeasure in the letter as to why the Centre is delaying its decision which is key to address legal issues in the two states.

He also appealed that the Centre also take decision on delimitation of Assembly constituencies being sought by the two Telugu States. If necessary the Centre can make amendment to section 26 and complete the process, he suggested. The TRS will exert pressure by raising the issue in the parliament if the  Centre fails to a call on the issue,  he added.(NSS)
