Telangana BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman today alleged that the ruling TRS was helping the MIM for the sake of mayor’s post in GHMC elections.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, Lakshman alleged that the TRS party has surrendered to the MIM thoughtlessly. Alleging that the TRS was conspiring to sweep the GHMC elections, the BJP leader accused the former of wooing Opposition leaders by making all “false” promises. The BJP leader demanded that the government make wards reservation on the basis of population. The government was keeping population figures in secret to make the situation in its favour, he said.
Earlier, a BJP delegation, led by Dr K Lakshman called on the Governor and urged him not to give his consent if the TRS tried to issue an ordinance in connection with GHMC elections. The delegation comprised Indrasena Reddy, Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and NVSS Prabhakar. (NSS)
