TRS celebrates Maha agreement

The TRS leaders who gathered in large numbers at party headquarters Telangana Bhavan today celebrated the significant irrigation deal  struck between Telangana and Maharashtra Governments. Chief Whip K Eshwar, MLC Karne Prabhakar and others exchanged pleasantries by distributing sweets among others as soon as the Maha deal signed by two chief ministers K Chandrasekhar Rao and Devendra Fadnavis at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion Eshwar and Prabhakar said that KCR visualized the future of irrigating the parched lands in the state as the deal will help irrigate about 40 lakh acres including 5 lakh acres in Nalgonda and Medak districts through the historic pact signed.  Stating that the deal will decorate Telangana with green necklace they said that the people are indebted to KCR as well as Fadnavis for the great friendly deal.

The state government is for maintaining cordial relations with neighbouring states for the development. The previous Congress and Telugu Desam Governments since 1975 deliberately ignored the irrigation sector in the region, they charged. They also remarked that the KCR Government is adopting live and let live policy. Injustice meted out to Telangana by  40 years of Congress rule and 17 years of TD rule, they fumed. However the opposition is now unable to digest the development as it will deprive them of better future, they said. It was decided to welcome in grand manner the Chief Minister and his team from Mumbai to Hyderabad on Aug 24, they said. After the agreement, KCR along with his team called on Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Rajbhavan. (NSS)
