TRS asks Kiran to follow Maya on bifurcation

Hyderabad, November 08: Former Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP B Vinod Kumar on Tuesday advised the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to learn a lesson from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, who is planning to move a resolution in the assembly on November 21 over the division of Uttar Pradesh into four states –Harit Pradesh, Central UP, Bundhelkhand and Purvanchal.

Talking to media persons, Vinod Kumar hailed the move of Mayawathi for division of state for administrative convenience and suggested that Kiran Kumar Reddy follow the suit. Stating that the Chief Minister could not dilute the statehood agitation with coercive methods, he said that the people of region would teach a lesson to the government through their votes in the next elections.

Condemning the arrest of Warangal MLA Vinay Bhaskar, he said that the police have violated the protocol. The police arrested Vinay Bhaskar like a terrorist and shifted him to police station without following the protocol, he stated. Demanding Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy’s apology for Vinay Bhaskar’s arrest, he asked her to take severe action against the police officials responsible for the arrest.

Congress MLA T Rajaiah, who recently joined TRS, stated that the Telangana Congress Steering Committee lacks commitment over the formation of separate Telangana state. He alleged that the Chief Minister has been offering sops to Telangana Ministers and MLAs to dilute the statehood agitation.

Alleging police highhandedness, TRS MLA Vinay Bhaskar asked as to why the Chief Minister, Home Minister and Speaker did not condemn his illegal arrest and take disciplinary action against police officials concerned. (INN)
