Tributes paid to N T Rama Rao

Hyderabad, May 28: Telugu Desam President (TDP) N Chandrababu Naidu paid tribute to party founder and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao at NTR Ghat on his 88th birth anniversary today.

Among those, who paid tributes to the legendary actor NTR and TDP founder at the NTR Ghat, were NTR’s sibs Balakrishna, Harikrishna and Rama Krishna and grand son Junior NTR besides party leaders Devender Goud and A Srinvas Yadav.

Speaking to the media at the Ghat, Junior NTR, who actively participated in the earlier general elections held in 2009, said he would strive to fulfill the dreams of the former Chief Minister.

When asked about his absence from Mahanadu (annual conclave) yesterday, Junior NTR said he was busy with film shooting.

Daggubati Venkateswara Rao and Union Minister Purandeswari Devi also paid tributes.

After paying tributes at the Ghat, Party President Chandrababu Naidu along with Nandamuri Balakrishna, who was absent on the first day of the party annual conclave, and Harikrishna proceeded to the Mahandu Venue, where they cut cake and paid tributes to NTR and later felicitated the leaders on the occasion of NTR’s Jayanthi.

Earlier, Mr Balakrishna visited the photo exhibition that was set up at the premises of Mahanadu venue.

On the second-day of the Mahanadu, the party would discuss and pass resolutions on the corruption, issues related to allotment of SEZs and economic situation of the state.
