The Telangana Political Joint Action Committee has demanded reservation for local youth in all private firms.
The demand was raised during TJAC’s meeting which was chaired by Prof. M. Kodandaram and attended by all members of Steering Committee and representatives of 25 other organisations. During the meeting, it has decided to strengthen the JAC.
The TJAC leaders also reviewed the status of implementation of promises made by the TRS in its election manifesto. Several resolutions were also passed during the meeting which includes lifting of ban from the Employees Unions in Energy department. They demanded that the State Government completely scrap the contract system and regularise the services of all contract employees.
The TJAC asked the State Government to place the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of all projects in public domain. It also demanded declaration of more mandals as drought hit and payment of compensation of Rs. 10,000 per acre to all drought affected farmers.(INN)
