Enraged over Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao joining the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi on the eve of MLC elections, a large number of activists of Telugu Nadu Students Federation marched to the residence of the legislator this morning and raised slogans against him.
However, police personnel rushed to the spot and took the protestors into custody. With this, the protestors had heated arguments with the police amidst the tense atmosphere.
It may be mentioned here that Madhavaram Krishna Rao was elected from the Kukatpally Assembly constituency on the TDP ticket. However, on the eve the crucial MLC elections, Krishna Rao resigned from the TDP and joined the ruling party. (NSS)
