Telangana Health Minister C. Lakshma Reddy here on Sunday appealed to the people to shun consumption of tobacco products, which are the root cause of all fatal diseases.
The minister was speaking after flagging off two-kilometre walk organized by Telangana Tobacco Control Board in association with Indian Dental Association on the Necklace Road here on the occasion of World Anti-Tobacco Day.
The minister has stressed the need for launching a movement to bring about awareness among the people about the harmful effects of tobacco use. He also assured that the State government would try to include a lesson on the fatal effects of the tobacco in the school curriculum to educate the students. (NSS)
