Three Naxals held

Sangareddy, October 17: The police arrested three Janasakthi naxalites last night and recovered a country-made gun, 14 rounds bullets, 10 detonators, 10 gelatine sticks, bike, TV and three cellphones from their possession.

Producing the three arrested militants before the media here today, Superintendent of Police M Kanta Rao said that the trio–Shivampeta Sadanandam (32) of Kalabgur village in Sangareddy mandal, Mukku Ravi (22) of Naredlaguda in Shamshabad mandal and Mangali Chennaiah (30) of Kasyaram village– were apprehended by a police team led by SI Salauddin while moving around under suspicious circumstances on the outskirts of Kandi.

The three Naxalites were resorting to extortions in Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Rangareddy districts.

The SP said that with the arrest of the three Naxalites they had foiled the attempts of Janasakthi north Telangana districts secretary Srinivas Reddy to form a five-member action team for carrying on extortions and killings.Sadanandam had even threatened Sangareddy Sub Registrar Krishna Reddy, he added.
