Hyderabad, October 17: The Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), a Hyderabad-based public sector enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and pioneer in strategic electronics, has received three prestigious awards from the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) and the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE).
The awards were: MoU Excellence Award 2006-07 and 2007-08 both from DPE and SCOPE award for excellence and outstanding contribution to the PSU Management-Medium category 2007-08.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh presented the awards to ECIL Chairman and Managing Director YS Mayya at a function held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi yesterday. While thanking the DPE and SCOPE for the awards, Mayya said that the development of indigenous technology solutions would remain the corner-stone of ECIL’s growth by leveraging the huge opportunities in nuclear, defence and security sectors
