Threat to Salman Khan’s life, security tightens ahead of Race 3 release

MUMBAI:  The Mumbai police have beefed-up Bollywood superstar Salman Khan‘s security after getting information from the Haryana Police’s Special Task Force about the arrested shooter Sampat Nehra’s plan who was assign the task of killing the Race 3 actor.

The Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police confirmed the news after gangster reveals murder plan as three of Nehra’s close associates are still out in the open.

“Three of his sharp shooters – Raju, Akshay and Ankit – are on the run and as of now we do not have their location or an idea about their whereabouts. These men pose potential danger to Salman Khan,” DNA quoted a Haryana Police official as saying.

The SIT also revealed that Nehra’s allies had planned to free him when he was being taken to the court on Monday.

“Due to this we made elaborate arrangements and changed the vehicles in which Sampat was being taken at regular intervals. The security was also beefed up so that the gangsters are unable to carry out their actions,” an official was quoted as saying by DNA.

The 52-year-old actor was on the radar of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which had sent sharpshooter Sampat to survey the actor’s movements in order to plan an attack, Haryana police said.

According to the police, Nehra, who was arrested from Hyderabad on Wednesday, was working on the directions of the gang leader, Lawrence Bishnoi, who had threatened to kill the superstar in connection with the blackbuck case.
