Mumbai: Ranbir Kapoor speaking to Fever 104 FM says “The experience has been great,” when asked how was his experience working with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
According to Hindustan Times, Ranbir says, “Which actor wouldn’t want to romance her? It was a historic moment in my career when Karan [Johar; the film’s director] told me that he would be casting her. I thought she would say no and wouldn’t act with me.”
He was disturbed and was hesitating to touch Aishwarya while shooting the intimate scenes in the film, “My hands were shivering, but Aishwarya made me feel very comfortable. She told me to stop acting like a child and act out the scene properly. That was when I grew more confident,” he says.
He adds that working with Aishwarya was equivalent to “working with a contemporary”. “She never made me feel like she was a senior or she was a big actor or a star,” he says.
“I have to work really hard for this one [Dragon]. You require hard work to do everything [all genres of films. When it comes to action and fighting sequences, I don’t think I have achieved success there.”
The movie’s first released many people thought that the movie is similar to Karan’s Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, KANK, 2006.
Ranbir replied saying, “It’s very different from KANK. That film was about extra-marital affairs. I won’t be seen married in this film. It’s not a ‘love story’, but it’s a story about love, heartbreaks, moving on, holding on, about friendship, about whether you would choose your soul mate or best friend. It reflects on these topics, so it doesn’t have anything to do with KANK.”
