Chandigarh, December 08: Criticising the “attack” on Congress MLAs in the House today, party MP Manish Tewari claimed that the SAD-BJP government was trying to avoid the issue of Ludhiana violence and do not want to fix the responsibilities for it.
It is the fundamental right of every elected MLA to raise matters of public importance at the floor of the Legislative Assembly. By refusing them to do so, the undemocratic face of Akali-BJP stands exposed, he said in a statement here.
He said both — Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his son Deputy Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal — should own moral responsibility for the collapse of law and order situation in Ludhiana and should abdicate their position.
Ludhiana has suffered severely on account of this violence, the MP from Ludhiana said.
