TET results to be delayed

Hyderabad, Jan 26 (INN): Secondary Education Minister K Parthasarathy on Thursday stated that the results of Teachers Eligibility Test would be announced on February 29 or March 1.

Talking to media persons, Parthasarathy said that the results might be delayed by one or two days as against the original schedule of Feb 28. He attributed the reason for delay to a few questions that appeared from out of the syllabus.

Stating that a high level committee has been appointed to study the issue, he said once the committee submits its report the government would take a final decision on announcing the results. Admitting that the question paper was tough this year, he said a senior professor has been appointed to look into questions covered from out of the syllabus.

However, there will not be any change the cut-off marks fixed by the government, he said. (INN)
