Hyderabad: Two persons lost their lives due to swine flu and other complications in Telangana since August 1 this year, the state government said here today.
As many as 5,038 samples have been tested for swine flu till yesterday since August 1, it said in a swine flu bulletin.
It said that 634 samples, out of the total 5,038, were found positive for the virus.
The bulletin said 113 cases were tested yesterday and that eight of them tested positive for H1N1.
“The number of deaths due to swine flu and other complications as on date is two,” it said.
Sufficient stocks of testing kits and medicines are available in hospitals at different levels in the state, the bulletin added.

- Wash hands frequently with soap or hand sanitizer as Swine flu viruses get transmitted through physical contacts including shaking hands.
- Don’t touch your nose, mouth or eyes after touching anything which is shared by others.
- Avoid large gatherings if Swine flu is spread in the season.
- Avoid using articles used by others including phones as viruses can survive on its surface too.
