Telangana Rashtra Samiti: Stay order unfortunate

Hyderabad, April 26: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) has termed as “unfortunate” the order by a Division Bench of the High Court staying an earlier direction by a single judge that the contents of the unpublished eighth chapter of Srikrishna committee report be made public.

A senior leader of TRS Naini Narasimha Reddy told a press conference today that the Legal Cell of the party will move the court to get the stay vacated. He praised the earlier judgement by Justice L. Narasimha Reddy as people deserved to know and debate the contents of the eighth chapter.

KCR ‘re-elected’

Mr. Reddy said TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao would be formally declared re-elected to the post on Friday as his was the only nomination received at the expiry of the deadline for filing of papers today. His name would be announced at the venue of the tenth anniversary celebration of TRS at Mahbubnagar.

He added that 12 sets of nomination on behalf of Mr. Rao were received from different wings of the party in the last two days.
