Telangana on road to development: KCR

Hyderabad: Telangana State chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao said that the state is on road to development and progress with welfare schemes. He said that irrespective of caste or religion, every section of the society is been taken care of. He said this while inducting former minister and BJP leader E.Paddi Reddy along with his 31 supporters into the TRS party at Telangana Bhavan.

KCR said he and Paddi Reddy had worked earlier as ministers together in the state government. To become a part of Telangana progress and to render his services to the public Paddi Reddy has joined the TRS party, KCR said.

Condemned the opposition parties for criticizing the government welfare schemes, he said that the Dalit Bandhu is not a scheme but a movement and it is being targeted unnecessarily.

The Dalit Bandhu scheme was to be launched a year earlier but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was delayed. The scheme will be implemented in every district, he added.

KCR said he was criticized by the opposition parties mainly by the Congress party leader K. Jana Reddy when he promised that he will provide 24 hours electricity after becoming the chief minister in 2014.

“At that time Reddy said that if the uninterrupted power supply is provided, he will join the TRS party. Despite 24 hours power supply, Jana Reddy failed to keep his promise and recently lost the Nagarjunasagar by-elections”, KCR said.

Speaking on Dalit Bandhu, he said that the scheme will be implemented successfully in the same manner as the Kaleshwaram project, Mission Bhagiratha, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Shaadi Mubarak, and Kalyana Lakshmi.

The chief minister said that Telangana State is on the road to development and progress. The people have taken note of it and will make a wise decision when the elections are held. KCR said the national per capita income of the state is double of the national average. Many foreign MNCs have invested in the state and the agriculture production has increased immensely, he said.
