Hyderabad, August 02: The auspicious Shravana month of August is all set to rock Telangana with agitations and resignations. The Telangana Telugu Desam Forum on Monday announced that its MLAs will resign again as soon as the Speaker, Mr Nadendla Manohar, arrives in the city from London and hold dharnas and rallies on August 6 demanding a Telangana Bill in Parliament.
The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) and the TRS have already announced a series of agitations including a threat to call for a bandh on August 5 over the 14(f) issue followed by mass strike from August 17. The TD forum has backed the agitations. The Telangana TD forum convener, Mr E. Dayakar Rao, who led a one day deeksha at Indira Park demanding a T-bill in Parliament during the ongoing Monsoon Session of the Parliament, said the Congress MLAs should join them in quitting again to create a Constitutional crisis and force the Centre to take a decision.
Taking potshots at the TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, he said KCR’s game plan has become a major hurdle for carving out Telangana. “The TD chief, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, is being targeted. How is he an obstacle for Telangana? If the UPA chairperson, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, willing to give Telangana and ask Mr Naidu’s letter, I will get it in an hour time,” he remarked. The TD MLAs, including Mr Dayakar Rao alleged that Mr Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to destroy the TD. “Mr Rao is taking people for a ride since 10 years. He comes out with false stories on Telangana. The new state will be achieved faster if we keep him at a distance,” he remarked.
