Telangana bandh against job test

Hyderabad, August 10: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday wrote to the Prime Minister for the deletion of Clause 14 (F) of Presidential Order of 1975 that makes Hyderabad a free zone for employment.

Telangana leaders are demanding that Hyderabad should not be a free zone where candidates from all over the state can compete for recruitment for government posts.

They have been asking for the deletion of the clause so that only candidates from Telangana can apply.

The Telangana Joint Action Committee has called for a shutdown on August 10. The bandh is aimed at putting pressure on the government not to conduct the written test for sub-inspectors on August 13 and 14.
