Telangana Electricity Employees’ Association has appealed to the Chief Information Commissioner to take action against the GENCO officers, who have failed to implement Right to Information Act in their offices.
In a press release, association founder president Kishan Singh Thakur stated that they had applied for seeking information about register of wages, contract Labour , Central and State Rules in March 2011, but not received any reply. The GENCO officials have failed to provide information so far even after one year.
He said that they have applied to the Appellate Authority and M.D. GENCO in this regard on May 19, 2011, but the officials have failed to provide information even after one year. (NSS)
