Seoni, March 20: The District and Sessions Court has sentenced one year imprisonment to a teacher for misconducting with girl students here.
Judge Anil Sahu gave the verdict against Prabuddh Gathoria while acquitted other teachers yesterday.
According to prosecution, Ms Gathoria, Ananya Ghosh and Sharad Suneri of Central School beat Akanksha Mishra and Anjali Mishra — students of standard IX — on Februray 14, 2006. The family members of the students lodged a complaint with the police, but later they appealed to the court on May, 2007 as the police failed to take any action.
