Hyderabad, Janaury 03: Blaming Union Home Minister Chidambaram for dividing Andhra, the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has criticised the minister that he is hatching a “conspiracy” to divide Andhra Pradesh into two States.
Talking to newspersons here, Senior TDP leaders G Muddu Krishnama Naidu and S Chandramohan Reddy said though there was a faster development in the State, as compared to his(Chidmabaram) home State Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra, Mr Chidambaram had made a statement on December nine, on setting in motion the process of formation of Telangana State without consulting the UPA partners.
They recalled that the UPA partners like Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and Nationalist Congress Party(NCP)had already raised objections on the statement issued by the Home Minister and demanded the Congress party to make its stand clear ahead of the all-party meeting with eight recognised political parties at New Delhi on January five on the Telangana issue.
