New Delhi: Tata Motors on Monday reported a 9.9 per cent increase in sales at 39,763 units last month.
The auto maker had posted sales of 36,190 in April 2015.
Domestic sales of Tata Motors’ commercial and passenger vehicles were up 11 per cent at 35,978 units last month as against 32,404 in April 2015.
Sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market stood at 11,161 units last month, as against 10,341 a year ago – an increase of 7.9 per cent, Tata Motors said in a statement.
As for passenger cars, the sales rose 5.9 per cent to 9,451 units in April compared with the year-ago period.
In the commercial vehicles segment, the company’s domestic sales came in at 25,138 units, up 13.3 per cent compared with April 2015, the company said.
Exports during the month were flat at 3,785 units compared with April 2015.
