Tata in exploratory meeting with Saudi prince

Dubai, October 14: Indian business tycoon Ratan Tata today held an “exploratory” meeting with Saudi billionaire and chairman of Kingdom Holding company, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Alsaud to find potential investment opportunities between the two groups.

The head of Indian conglomerate TATA group was accompanied by vice chairman Ravi Kant and chairman of the board Taylor Co, Ralph C Taylor, while Shadi Sanbar, chief financial officer was part of Kingdom Holding’s delegation.

“The two exchanged general strategic ideas related to various areas of investment. The delegation also presented Prince Waleed with a number of potential investment projects,” a statement by the group said.

“The Prince has asked the delegation to meet with Eng Halawani [executive director, private equity] to further study these projects in depth,” the statement added.
