New Delhi, October 07: In view of increasing diplomatic pressure from the international community, particularly the USA, to act quickly against the Taliban, reports now suggest that Pakistan is trying to push the militants surrendered to India .
According to intelligence reports, Pak intelligence agency ISI has given Taliban fighters surrendered as a result of its military offensive against the militia in the tribal regions, two options: either to rot in jail or to continue with terrorism, but this time across the Line of Control (LOC) in India.
Intelligence agencies have recently intercepted telephone conversations between senior officials of the ISI and Taliban commanders to bring more infiltration bids in the coming days.
By the continued financial and military aid from the U.S., Pakistan has increased pressure on the Taliban militia and tactically designed this new strategy to make the militia lost its advantage. ISI wants to use the experience of the Taliban fighting U.S. forces and their knowledge of modern warfare against India clandestinely.
However, the security agencies of India and armed forces are fully prepared for the possible attempt to pressure the Taliban, their fighters to the Indian side.
According to intelligence reports, as many as 60 Taliban fighters are waiting for the right time to infiltrate the Indian side crossed the LoC. Pakistani military helicopters are being used to evacuate and carry surrendered Taliban fighters near the border with India.
From now on, the intelligence agencies of India closely follow the activities across the international border from the ISI actually supports attempts of infiltration across the LoC.
According to reports, the contributions gathered by intelligence agencies and the resulting situation of which were widely discussed during a meeting of a high-powered central team headed by Cabinet Secretary KM Chandrashekhar and comprising the Home Secretary P Pillai, secretary Defense, Pradeep Kumar and other senior officials in Srinagar.
