Towards cashless transactions the Telangana State government will launch first-of-its-kind “T-Wallet” to enable the people to make transactions of all sorts in a hassle-free manner with the government departments and on pilot basis with GHMC, water works.
This was stated by IT Minister KT Rama Rao after holding a review meeting with officials and T Wallet service providers at Secretariat here. KTR said the T Wallet will be fool-proof to keep the public details secret and provide security to their transactions. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will unveil a logo of T Wallet next week, which is used based on Adhar number and Mobile number or both. To be available in Telugu also, T Wallet will provide facility, security and privacy and can be used on five modes of smart phone, feature phone, computer, call center or no phone. The T Wallet will be extended for wide reach to make transactions through ration shops, scholarships, e-seva and others. (NSS)
