Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP president Dr K Laxman today alleged that Hyderabad city has become a den for terrorists and demanded an NRC survey in the city as conducted in Assam because thousands of foreigners were staying in the city illegally.
Speaking to the media at party office here today, Laxman said it was unfortunate that Hyderabad has connections with the incidents of terrorist activities wherever reported in the country. A large quantity of explosives recovered during raids by the NIA in the old city recently is a clear example of his claim, Laxman added. He also alleged that those who entered the city illegally were moving freely in the localities in the old city.
The TRS government was not concentrating on checking terror activities in the city due its political relations with the MIM. The BJP chief said at least now the State government should take stern action against those infiltrated into the city. He demanded an NRC survey in the city as conducted in Assam because thousands of foreigners were staying in the city illegally and the MIM was extending support to such infiltrators.
Meanwhile, a report said that NIA was questioning six youths, who were picked up during raids in the old city. The NIA personnel conducted raids in the old city on a specific information that some youths were tilting towards the dreaded ISI.
